The final concert for the 2023-2024 season will feature the Scott Silbert Jazz Quintet playing jazz selections from Artie Shaw and Benny Goodman. Silbert has had a long illustrious career including many years with the US Navy Commodores Band. After retirement he formed a large jazz orchestra in the DC area along with this smaller jazz quintet. The group strives to educate their audiences in the jazz artform as they play. Silbert will present a short lecture on jazz and the artists prior to the concert. Come early at 7 PM for an educational experience followed by an evening of great jazz music. Silbert performed in Wilmington in the Sinatra Sampler concert with Bob MacDonald last season.
